I was in 6th grade when I read this, obviously it is was in Urdu but I wish people could read its translated version as well if it exists. This is one of the books that set me on the path of reading.

Naseem Hijazi is one of my first inspirations. This is a story of great sacrifice and blood shed that Muslims of subcontinent had to endure at the time of partition. The book starts with the tale of a village which ensconced people of all religions and casts in a merry and amicable environment.

Thos I was in 6th grade when I read this, obviously it is was in Urdu but I wish people could read its translated version as well if it exists. Those people were a tight knit as it has been explained by various tales in the first part of book "Muskharatein", but that all changes at the eve of partition and the struggle begins.

The perspective on this book is good. Author has presented and analysed all factors that led to an abrupt turn of events. I highly recommend it, it is a must read.
